I figured since I'm relaxing from the cold, I'd work on my creative juices and tell you all more about me as a writer through this meme I found from an artist I watch. Stolen from :iconrockygems:.

1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why.
My first written series, "White Sword". It was phenomenal to write an epic action, time travel, supernatural story about 2 brothers reuniting and fighting to change one another's views. Eventually, I had sequels planed, since I ended the first book on such a sour note. But as the sequels got fleshed out, the harder it was to come up with different villains. It would have been a dream come true if it were turned into a manga or anime, since it had that feel to it, but perhaps it was for the best that it didn't.

2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
I've lost count at how many characters I have created. One thing is for sure though, I've created a larger number of male characters than I have female. Maybe because I'm male and can relate better towards said male character, or maybe because I haven't had much experience with women. LOL

3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you're writing about fictional places)?
Most of the time I just think what sounds best for a character's personality. The only character I had to think and research was Tamayoshi. Because I wanted my fursona to have a name mixed with cultures I love and respect in the world the most, I wanted to make sure I could combine them into a name that not only suited him best, but also fit my personality well.

4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!
My first character was a super hero known as Darkman. I drew a sort of OK comic about a super hero with the power only to get stronger with every loss he had in a fight. The design was pretty much based off of Gligarman from Pokemon, and I later found out on one of my birthdays that he was a real super hero, but not the one I created and loved. I did enjoy the villains I created for the series, including "The Smog", but sadly I only made like 5 comics and I ended it on a cliff hanger just when I was getting into middle school.

5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about "youngest"?
Focusing on my story, "The Superior Guardian", the oldest character would be Superior. She is, after all, the spirit of Lake Superior and has existed since the time of man. The youngest would be Song Bear. He's a troubled youth that hides as much truth as he can. But because he is hoping for a better life, he ends up helping the man in glasses.

6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol' pen and paper?
Some of my best ideas from writing have come from the beach of the North Shore of Lake Superior. Since I feel a strong bond with that area, I guess it goes to show that I would write more about it than anything else. I most write around the afternoon time because in the morning my eyes are still trying to open and understand what the heck I'm doing, and at night I start to dose off and slam my head into whatever it is I am using to write. LOL

As for my preference, I will always chose pencil and paper over a digital computer machine any day. The only time I would ever use a computer is when I want something I'm proud of look nicer on print, or if I want to publish it on here for all the world to see. And it's funny, because I always write out the chapters of "The Superior Guardian" first before I type them up here.

7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
I never listen to music while I write, because it's very distracting and I end up farther behind on writing stuff. However, I have found a few songs for key moments and characters for "The Superior Guardian", but I will not reveal what moments or characters they are for, because they have not been written yet. So, here's the list:

"Breath"-Breaking Benjamin
"Kimi to Taiyou ga Shinda Hi"-Kurosaki Maon
"Be Somebody"-Thousand Foot Krutch

8. What's your favorite genre to write? To read?
What I like to write should be obvious due to my name, however, I enjoy writing presentation versions of pros. I enjoy reading fiction more than anything, but I equally enjoy reading non-fiction pros.

9. How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.
I don't know how, the ideas just come to me. Sometimes they come to me easier than others, but they usually come to me when I desperately want to think about my characters again.

10. What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Everything from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts!
My characters have never really been in weird situations...yet.

11. Who is your favorite character to write? Least favorite?
My favorite character to write about is Superior, because I know her the most out of anybody. Surprisingly, my least favorite characters to write are background characters. It's always difficult to figure out who they are, how they react, who are they with, when in the end they don't really matter.

12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of world building?
"The Superior Guardian". It takes place in a real life setting and real life locations, most, if not all, locations I have visited and been to. Sadly, the bar in chapter 4 is fictional. I wouldn't recommend going there, unless you're a heavy brawling drinker.

13. What's your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?
I haven't had much experience to write on other cultures, but I do enjoy spiritual elements in story telling no matter the culture.

14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?
I don't have any maps, because I like focusing on places I know or have been to. Heh heh.

15. Mid way question! Tell us about a writer you admire, whether professional or not!
Hmm, there are so many to name. I do admire Jack London, for the sole fact that he practically lived in all his stories. I do admire a few other artists for their non-professional status as a writer.

16. Do you write romantic relationships? How do you do with those, and how "far" are you willing to go in your writing?
The only one I've really written is mine with Superior in my piece, "Lake Monologue".

17. Favorite protagonist and why!
Tamayoshi.

18. Favorite antagonist and why!
The man in glasses, who does have a name, but it hasn't been revealed yet.

19. Favorite minor that decided to shove themselves into the spotlight and why!
None have stood out in that way among my writing fans. However, I do like the bartender for the fact that he was so cool and tough when facing the man in glasses.

20. What are your favorite character interactions to write?
I like to write interactions between those that have bonds within family, because those moments are what truly bring out emotions and develop characters in the best way possible in any story. This goes for those that are orphans as well.

21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?
Well, yes and no. I haven't written children characters, or child forms of characters yet. But when writing Tamayoshi's past, you will get to see what his childhood was like.

22. How long does it usually take you to complete an entire story—from planning to writing to posting (if you post your work)?
I've never really planned things out in advance. In fact, "The Superior Guardian", I just decided to write something on my fursona, and it quickly evolved into an idea for a story.

23. How willing are you to kill your characters if the plot so demands it? What's the most interesting way you've killed someone?
I have no problems killing characters, in fact the main character of White Sword dies in the very first chapter. But I don't kill characters much in my writings, except background, but expect death for many characters in "The Superior Guardian".

24. Do any of your characters have pets? Tell us about them.
No pets for anyone, unless you count the guardians for Superior and her siblings pets.

25. Let's talk art! Do you draw your characters? Do others draw them? Pick one of your OCs and post your favorite picture of them!
Years ago I used to draw my characters, but now a days I can't draw worth a lick. So whenever I see fan art or I get commissioned art work of my characters I love it to pieces. As for favorite picture of my OCs, I would have to go with a commission drawing that I got at an event of Tamayoshi. The back ground artwork was the perfect setting for him and looked positively beautiful. The way his body was drawn and his personality were captured in the best way possible, I was crying tears of joy when I received it. Everyone seems to think because he is my fursona that he would have a happy personality like mine, but the truth is, Tamayoshi has a very serious nature.

26. Along similar lines, do appearances play a big role in your stories? Tell us about them, or if not, how you go about designing your characters.
Appearances are not a huge thing for me, but I do try to focus on how cool a character would look. As for designing my characters, I just go with what I think looks like a cool design.

27. Have you ever written a character with physical or mental disabilities? Describe them, and if there's nothing major to speak of, tell us a few smaller ones.
Even though I have a mental disability, I have yet to write any disabled characters. Maybe it's because, I have never felt the need to write such characters into my stories.

28. Final question! Tag someone! And tell us what you like about that person as a writer and/or about one of his/her characters!
I am listing these folks, because we are friends, I have read their work, and I feel they can benefit from this meme.
